New 105 beds nursing home
This project has the twofold ambition to create an institution able to accommodate dependent elderly people and to build a social and intergenerational link with the inhabitants of the suburban neighborhood.
The nursing home is built around a space created in the shape of a village square, promenade area for patients but also meeting place with the inhabitants of the suburban neighborhood. A broad inner street, stretched between the main entrance and the village square, is the main convergence and walking place. Light-flooded, this lively axis of collective activities largely opens outwards thanks to a double-height volume, creating one facade towards the city and two facades on the "village square".
Hospitality is designed as a sequence of welcoming spaces, from urban area to collective community life and to privative spaces.
